Hello everyone. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday - surrounded by family and friends. I just got back to the office after a long holiday weekend and was excited to see so many emails from people who wanted to share with us what they were thankful for this year - especially those who live in, work in, or visit Maine.
Since some of you who read our blog are not signed up on our NRCM Action Network, I wanted to share the "reasons to be thankful" list that we have compiled and ask you to share your own reasons to this list. You can read all of the responses from this year and last year at www.nrcm.org/thankful_2008.asp.
I am very thankful this year for my wonderful friends and family, and also to be able to work for two wonderful organizations - the Natural Resources Council of Maine, where I learn something new every day and am proud of the work we and our members do to protect this beautiful state, and for my work with youth at Camp Mechuwana. They are wonderful young people who care very much about the world around them.
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Beth
I'm thankful that I get to live in Maine and that the NRCM is here to help keep Maine special!
