Just a quick note from a former NRCM staff member, now exciled in Virginia and still longing to return to Maine. I hope that I am helping in some small way with my membership. And, recently, my consulting work includes web redesign and strategy projects for both The Nature Conservancy (nature.org) and the National Wildlife Federation.
Keep up the great work you do for the citizens of Maine and all of us who appreciate its natural wonders.

I could not agree more with Mr. Swisher. I have family that live just across the river in Edgecomb - shouldn't they have a say, since they'd have to see that ugly structure too? What about all the Maine residents who'd have to breath polluted air from the plant and suffer the effects of global warming that such a plant will contribute to? What about all Mainers whose jobs depend on the tourist industry, which is put at risk by blights such this disgusting, unnecessary coal plant? We all deserve a vote, just like we all should have a voice on what happens in Moosehead (Plum Creek, go back to Seattle!) and anywhere else that has an impact on the entire state!
