Regarding George Smith's column about the Kennebec River Initiative - congratulations to him, for writing in support of something honorable and beneficial to the environment and those of us - which is all of us - who need it to be healthy. Kudos, George, and to the NRCM!

Regarding Oskar's comment, we did want to let you know that NRCM's position on wind power is located on our website:
http://www.nrcm.org/issue_windpower.asp

NRCM supports appropriate wind power development, and was initially one of the few who advanced the idea for the Black Nubble wind power project, a compromise project to the initial Redington proposal that I believe Oskar references. We also have some ambitious goals for wind power production by the end of the decade as well. Again, please visit our wind power webpages to learn more: http://www.nrcm.org/issue_windpower.asp

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!

i just got your brochure for the annual meeting. on the front cover it says Stop Global Warming, but at the same time your fighting wind farms that spoil a view. what's up with that?if we want to get off Arab oil and cool the planet, all wind farms are needed. get used to the new "view".

Suzanne Sayer

Redington Wind Farm was not defeated in January 2007. A vote was taken to write a permit to deny the Wind Farm. It is not the same thing.
